Walnut; as shelled
fruits in addition to valuation are considered as an important value
in the furniture sector. Turkey takes 4th place with the 120 thousand
tons in the walnut production after China, USA and Iran. Nearly 50%
of this harvest is produced in Kirsehir-Kaman. Kaman Walnut has
higher efficiency than the other types of walnut (An adult walnut
tree gives 300-350 kilos of products). Its shell is soft, and can be
broken into pieces. Its tree wake up late, is resistant to walnut
inner worm, to spring and winters freezes, to diseases. The average
lives of trees are 300-500 years.
